SohoMod Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Installed this as a surface mount last week. It's nicely made and looks good on my large living room wall. I hard wired it using the included conversion bracket with no issues. The only issue I did have was an extremely minor 'light leak' from one of the lower corners which came from a 1/16" gap in the housing, which was easily fixed. I have the surround coming shortly to finish this thing off. My wife loves it.

Arthritis has made building a wood fire very difficult. The fireplace insert has solved my problem beautifully. I turn it on every day. It even fools me sometimes!

It's big and it's beautiful. I've got 18 ft ceilings with 60" flat screen mounted above it and it is definitely the focal point of the room.

Great little quiet heater that heat's the room in 10 minutes, plus you can enjoy the flames...looking to buy another

It is attractive, but the color is deceiving. Everything else is great. It really heats the room.I wasn't sure about the flames, but even that looks real.I am very happy with the it.

we use it in our camper.... it fits in there really nice...on cold nights it really heats up everything including the floor and we really like this unit not only for it's representative fire but it's heat and great price.....a lot of people have commented positively on it.

I have always been a renter but longed for a place with a fireplace. I moved into a house rencently with a gas unit but it was removed as insurance wouldn't cover it. I didn't even know these electric units existed until I saw one at a friends house. I live on a budget and rarely pay retail for anything so when I saw this unit, I had to look twice at the price...too good to be true! I sought the advice of my Uncle because I have never been good at dimensions and wanted an idea of the size. To be honest, I wish it was a little bigger but don't let the size fool you. This unit heats my living room nicely and it's very relaxing at night to turn the lights off and look at the flame. I am pretty sure I will be puchasing another unit for the upstairs and perhaps I can wait a little longer before I have to turn my heat on and burn expensive oil. Living in New England where it seems to be cold more often than not these days, I think this unit will pay for itself several times over. I would highly recommend it.

I use this as an additional heat source for my large living room. It works well to take the chill off and its flickering "flames" while not the most reaslitic are still nice to look at. And it's very dirable too!

looks wonderful and heats properly. would recommend item

I love my Dimplex Fireplace! In the evening I like to read and with the fireplace on I can heat the living room to a cosy temperature without turning up the heat in the entire house. And the realistic flame makes me feel warm just looking at it! Several of my friends have purchased the fireplace after seeing mine. What a wonderful addition to my living room!

The fireplace insert looks great with our decor and space. It replaced a gas burning insert , which we have not used for years. It is nice that we could enjoy the fireplace again.

I have my Dimplex Electric Fireplace set up in my den so a small space. I love the design of this product and the additional warmth added to this space.
