SohoMod Customer Reviews & Testimonials

It comes well packaged. all the pieces are well protected. The material is excellent quality. There is some Furniture grade MDF as well as solid hard wood. The finish is exquisite. Assembly required only a phillips head screwdriver (although I do recommend pre-drilling the holes for side panels of the media shelf). Now for the firebox, the flame is so realistic you would think you were looking at a real fire. The heater fan works well. It is not going to knock your socks off, but it will take the chill out of the air. It is also quiet. The only thing I would like to change is really minor. I would like to be able to adjust the size of the flame and have a shut off timer with diminishing flame effect like other models have. If you are looking for a media console fireplace, this one combines the elegance of a traditional fireplace mantel and the functionality of a media console. I love it and would buy it again if I had to do it all over again.......

I have never had a fireplace and this really seems authentic without the hassle of taking care of a real fireplace. I love sitting near it on these cold winter nights curled up with a book. The fireplace also provides soft lighting to the room. It is a wonderful addition to my home and I am so happy that I bought it. I saw it at a friend's home and decided to buy one for myself. It was a good decision. Thank you for a wonderful product.

This product does exactly what I needed; heats a small den so I can use the room and be comfortable.

This product is great. After so many years of getting products that do not add up to the advertisements about them, it is a delight to finally get a product that surpasses its advertisement! It is cute, makes a nice atmosphere, and heats the room quickly. I rarely run it on high - mostly low. I have problems staying warm (part of the post-polio syndrome which I have) but this heater has really made life easier for me like no other heater has! Thanks Dimplex

Very nice looking fireplace! Beautiful dark mohagany color, solid once assembled, and a good heater. I would make this purchase again!

I use this to heat my bedroom and it works as well as any other heater and looks great while doing it. The fan doesn't blow the heat quickly, but it does keep my room warm. I am satisfied with it. Probably wouldn't be best for sole source of heat in colder environments, but works about as well as other space heaters.

Heats room more than I ever thought they wood and beautiful to watch on a cold winter night. I love mine.

Use in LR for extra warmth. Best used in small room. Looks great.

The heater we purchased is used in a room that was added on our home. Reasonably priced!

better than expected. heats the room surprisingly well. attractive unit. i replaced the bulb with a more energy efficient one & seems to appear & work just as well. great for saving on gas bills to just heat the room you are in, instead of the whole house.

I use this to heat my kids playroom in the the basement and it works great.

I live in a very old apartment building and the windows are very drafty. I put this heater under my living room windows and the room is as warm as toast. I have received many compliments on its looks also. I have a friend who plans on ordering one after having seen mine. I also plan on ordering 1 or 2 more myself -- one for the bedroom and one for the computer room. I love it!
