Zuo Modern Valtan Outdoor Storage Chest in Natural

The Valtan Outdoor Storage Chest solves two problems at once: it gives you a solid surface to set things down and a hidden interior to put them away. Part of the Valtan Storage collection, this chest of drawers earns its place at the foot of a bed for blankets and linens, in an entryway for shoes and seasonal gear, or beside a sofa for throws and games. Because the frame is weather resistant, it holds up just as well on a covered patio or deck as it does indoors.

Construction starts with a solid acacia wood frame and a rectangular solid acacia wood tabletop, finished in wood and wood veneer for a smooth, even surface that stands up to daily use. The natural finish keeps the grain as the focal point and layers easily with warm or cool room palettes. A hydraulic piston lid lowers gently instead of slamming, and rubber feet help prevent scratches on hardwood, tile, and laminate so the chest can be shifted without worry.

The top is sturdy enough to double as a bench, making it a comfortable spot to sit while pulling on shoes or tying laces, and it works equally well as a landing place for a lamp, books, or a tray. Inside, the generously sized interior swallows the items you would rather not see. Assembly is required, and once it is set up, this Zuo Modern piece settles in quietly. If you want one piece that handles seating, surface, and storage without taking over the room, the Valtan Outdoor Storage Chest is an easy choice.
