Meridian Furniture Shaw Chenille Dining Chair with Natural Oak Base in Black

The Shaw Chenille Dining Chair brings Art Deco-inspired lines and a soft, inviting touch to your dining room. As part of the Shaw collection, this dining chair pairs a black chenille seat and back with a natural-finish wood base, so the silhouette reads clean and rectangular while the upholstery stays plush and welcoming. It is the kind of side chair that looks sculptural from across the table and feels comfortable the moment you sit down.

Construction follows the look. The frame is built from rubberwood with plywood reinforcement, then layered with foam and wrapped in soft black chenille fabric for cushioned support through long dinners and lingering conversations. Solid wood legs finished with oak veneer in a natural tone ground the piece, letting the black upholstery and warm wood grain play off each other rather than compete.

Because the palette stays neutral, this dining chair settles easily into wood, stone, or glass tables and sits comfortably alongside brass, black, or natural accents. It also works beyond the dining room as an accent chair in a living area, bedroom, or entryway. From Meridian Furniture, the Shaw Chenille Dining Chair is a plush seat on a solid wood foundation — a considered choice that earns its place at the table.
