Description
The Marlowe chair earns its spot in the living room by doing two things well: looking good from every angle and letting you turn toward the conversation. The silhouette is softly curved and a little sculptural, so it reads as a deliberate design choice rather than a seat that just fills a corner.
Upholstery is a rich light grey polyester with a linen-like texture, and the two-tone weave gives the surface some depth instead of a flat wash of color. That texture is what keeps the grey feeling warm and layered next to wood tones, rugs, and whatever else the room already has going on.
Underneath, a solid rubberwood frame and pedestal base in a black finish ground the piece, and the 180-degree swivel lets you swing from reading to talking without shifting the chair. The art deco lines come through in the base and the curve of the back — subtle, but enough to give the room some character. Assembly is required, so plan for a few minutes with the tools when it arrives.
