Measure every door the furniture must pass through — width, height, and diagonal. Don't forget doors inside your home, not just the entrance.

Check Your Staircase

Measure the staircase width from handrail to wall. Also check the ceiling height at any landing turns — large pieces often need to tilt through.

Measure the width and height of every door the furniture must pass through — front door, hallway doors, and the room it's going into.
