Chaise Sectionals
Every sectional has a best seat. On a chaise sectional, it is the long end where you stretch your legs out all the way. No ottoman to drag around, no footstool sliding away. The lounge spot is built in.
A chaise sectional gives you the sprawl of a full sectional with the footprint of a sofa and a chair. It fits rooms that cannot handle a giant U-shape but still seats the whole family.
Sohomod has chaise
sectionals in left and right facing layouts, performance fabrics, leather, and boucle. Most seat four to six, and many come with storage built into the chaise.

Left or Right? Get the Chaise Side Right
Stand in front of the sectional, facing it. If the chaise sticks out to your left, that is a left-arm facing chaise. Get this wrong and the chaise blocks your walkway instead of opening the room. Measure your wall first, then pick the side that keeps traffic flowing.
Fabric or Leather on a Sectional?
Fabric is warmer, cheaper, and comes in more colors. Performance fabrics now resist stains well enough for kids and dogs, which closed the gap with leather for family use.
Leather costs more but wipes clean and ages well. It also feels cold in winter and sticky in summer, which matters on a chaise you lounge on bare-legged. For a sectional that gets daily abuse, performance fabric is the smart money. For a formal living room, leather.
Mistakes to Avoid With Chaise Sectionals
Buying the wrong chaise side. This is the number one regret, and it is permanent on fixed sectionals. Tape the layout on your floor first.
Forgetting delivery. Sectionals come in big pieces. Measure every doorway, hallway turn, and stairwell before you order.
Light fabric with kids. Cream looks amazing for exactly one week. Performance fabric or a darker tone saves you from yourself.
How to Choose a Chaise Sectional
Chaise side is the one thing you cannot change later. Get that right first.
- Measure the full footprint. Sectionals are bigger than they look online. Tape the outline on your floor before you buy.
- Pick the chaise side first. It is the hardest thing to change later.
- Choose fabric for your life. Kids and pets? Performance fabric or leather. Formal living room? Boucle or velvet.
- Check the chaise length. If you are tall, you want a true full-length chaise, not a stubby one.
- Storage or no storage? Chaise storage hides blankets and remotes. Worth it if you are short on closet space.

Chaise Sectionals FAQs
Will a chaise sectional fit a small living room?
Often yes. A chaise sectional takes less floor space than a sofa plus a separate ottoman, and it seats more people.
Can you flip the chaise to the other side?
Some modular designs let you move it. Fixed ones do not. Check before you buy, because this is the number one regret.
Is the chaise comfortable for sleeping?
For naps, absolutely. For overnight guests, a sleeper sectional is the better pick.
How long do chaise sectionals last?
A well-built one, seven to ten years. The frame matters more than the fabric. Kiln-dried hardwood with corner blocks outlasts stapled pine by years.
Can I rearrange the pieces?
Modular sectionals, yes. Fixed L-shapes, no. If you move a lot or like to refresh the room, modular is worth the extra cost.
Financing is available if you would rather spread the cost. Delivery options are shown at checkout. Questions? Our team actually answers.
