Description
The Bowie bench brings a soft, sculptural moment to the end of a bed or the open wall in a hallway. Its oval silhouette and rounded double-pedestal base read as Art Deco without feeling fussy, and the boucle upholstery gives it that nubby, touchable texture people gravitate toward. Tuck it under a window with a stack of books, or let it anchor a dressing area where a chair would feel too expected.
Underneath the fabric, a solid ash wood frame and plywood build keep the shape honest, while foam cushioning makes it a genuinely comfortable place to sit and pull on boots. The ball-shape legs and base come in a walnut brown finish, a warm counterpoint to the cream or olive boucle you choose. Acacia wood rounds out the construction, and the whole thing sits low and grounded rather than leggy.
It's the kind of piece that works in a modern and contemporary room without disappearing into it — quiet enough for a bedroom, characterful enough for an entry. If you want seating that doubles as a small design statement, the Bowie earns its spot.
