Manital, Italian manufacturer of design door handles for over 25 years, has been chosen for the innovative Bluewaters Hotel project in Dubai. The hotel will be built on the island of the same name, the latest artificial paradise desired by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
The Saturn handle, designed by Mario Mazzer and Giovanni Crosera, has been chosen for its quality and design to open the front doors of the exclusive resort. Its ring shape is reminiscent of the island’s Ferris wheel, expected to be the largest in the world and a new icon that will dominate the skyline of Dubai.
Saturn also stands out for its large size: its escutcheon is a full 180mm wide and 152mm high. It is composed of two discs: an external one to which the handle is applied, and an inner one available in various finishes and coverings that can also be customised with laser engravings. The chosen finish for the entire hotel is anthracite with the internal disk in black leather.
So, Saturn will be an identifying element of the doors, ideal for large and elegant environments of the Bluewaters Hotel, in which the utmost attention is paid to every detail.
The project also includes a series of Morphos Light handles with an anthracite finish, paired with the innovative Ultra Slim Innovation escutcheon that is a mere three millimetres thick. This model, with simple and elegant geometric lines, will be used in the apartments of the Bluewaters complex.
Manital exports 85% of the handles it produces to 70 different countries. This authoritative project confirms the company’s dynamism and relevance on the Middle East market as well:
This is a prestigious contract that we add to others in recent years for the Burj Khalifa and the Versace Palace in Dubai. The company is becoming a reference point for top international architectural studios from London to New York to Chicago.Luigi Bigoloni, Manital owner
