Lumen, is a family of coffee tables designed by Luca Papini for Casamania, it glows with its own light, thanks to its extraordinary physical property of rare aluminates that are present within the natural materials.
It is able to retain the sunlight or artificial light and then return in the dark to a glowing state. In this manner, the design becomes functional also in the night, revealing in the dark photoluminescence that during day leaves room to the form, to the color and to the different proportions and heights. As fireflies at night, the little tables Lumen continue to furnish even when all the rest around us is invisible.
