The world-renowned British designer Jasper Morrison has for the first time partnered with a Danish furniture manufacturer, namely Fredericia Furniture. The first result of the collaboration is the small round pedestal table Pon.
The collaboration came into being because of Jasper Morrison’s great admiration for the Danish furniture designer Børge Mogensen (1914-1972), who had great influence on the development of the Scandinavian design culture. For many years, Fredericia Furniture has been the leading manufacturer of Mogensen’s furniture.
Pon tables are made of solid ash or oak – the latter comes as oiled, dark smoked or black lacquered – and are available in two sizes: Model 1280, which has a diameter of 35 cm and a height of 36 cm, and model 1290, which has a diameter of 45 cm and a height of 46 cm.
The tables will reach furniture stores in August.
