The N-2 pendant lamp by Aaron Scott Design uses sculpted wood forms to explore rotational symmetry in three-dimensional space.
Rotational symmetry (or radial symmetry) occurs when two sides of a given object are the same after one side has been rotated 180 degrees. All of the pieces in the N-2 series have been constructed of laminated layers of solid wood sculpted/carved by hand into smooth volumes. Despite their unconventional structure and delicate lines, the finished objects are extremely stable and solid.
