So, you’ve just purchased a new house and you’re figuring out how to make it your home. With all the streaming services nowadays, a TV is a must-have within a home, especially with children. The process of mounting a tv onto your wall can actually be pretty simple, just follow steps shown below and give it a go:
1. Start by locating the perfect spot for your horizontal mounting frame
Measure the best position from the floor. A recommended application is the height finder that can help you do this easily. Ensure that your TV can shift even after it's hung. Using a tape measure find the midpoint of the wall. You can also spot this from your sofa. Mark the position and locate close studs on the sides of the mark.
2. Locate the studs behind the drywall
After you are convinced of the position to place your mounting frame locate the studs. You can use a stud finder under $10 from Home Depot to do this easily. Mark the studs using masking tape or a pencil.
3. Fix the mounting frame to the wall
Hold the frame in the marked position and confirm the level you desire. On the wall, you can Mark the pilot holes. The pilot holes should go to the center of the studs. Begin drilling the pilot holes afterward attach the frame. The socket wrench should help you bolt up quickly. Use the ‘measure twice, cut once’ approach with this so you don’t have holes all over behind your mounted tv in case you ever decide to sell your house in the next 5-10 years.
4. Secure the mounting bracket to the TV
You will also need a mounting frame that's horizontal which will be attached to the wall. You can also attach arms to your TV. This is important as the portion of the TV will attach to the one on the wall. Ensure you attach the bracket carefully as the front side is the screen. Avoid placing it in a position that people are passing. Ensure you have attached the mount accordingly to the TV. Although you want a firm grip ensure the screws give room to the mount movement. In case they don't allow that to choose different holes set.
5. Connect the cables
You will find it much easier if you connect the cables before hanging the TV. You may need someone to help you do this as you are holding the TV. When done with connections you can now hang your TV. Place the television on the TV mount. Check to ensure its mounted in a level position. You can adjust if need be. Finally, you can secure your TV to the frame. Use the instructions provided in the mounting guide. In case of a tilting frame tightly the areas but be gentle.
