Keith Coghill presents his latest work called The Sunna from the Norse Goddess of Sun. Keith’s inspiration source for this piece.
Keith Coghill lives in the remote north of Scotland, where he collects inspiration from his environment and crafts his tables at a pace untouched by the rush of modern living.
The flow and movement that he creates in his work is the defining point between art and function, with a curvaceous aesthetic that has become his unique, signature style.
His low tables are crafted from the highest quality Scottish hardwoods, often acquiring reclaimed timber, such as old growth reclaimed Burmese teak, from unique sources. From handrails of an ocean fairing ship, or laboratory work benches, these hardwoods often have a fascinating and rich back-story, and when they are suitable to a particular piece, Keith repurposes them to live once again.
