The wooden cabinet Korint from Sweden-based Snickeriet has been given a heavily decorative appearance, while both precise and symmetric.

The fundamental idea of the piece is for its natural materials and fine carpentry work to stand in contrast to – but also find harmony with – a geometric, repetitive and industrial expression.

Korint has an unusual construction, with a framework upon which the cabinet interior is suspended. The cabinet is very carefully built by hand, to ensure every detail is immaculate. The wood used is aspen, cottonwood and birch – selected for their specific properties and which are stained a deep black and then lacquered.
