A butler or chamberlain is responsible for the housekeeping. The designs in the James collection by Linda Hermans act as the personal assistant to the family.
James consists of four objects linked to a place in the house: James, hall please!, James, bathroom please!, James, bedroom please!, James take five!. A brush is a known aid and a valued tool. It symbolizes the action, the movement, the work that never ends. James is always around and happy to help sweep the floor, but he has other interesting functions as well. James, coats please!
