For the third time in a row the German Design council has honored Belfakto for its design quality: YORK, which was only included in the Belfakto collection in the spring, recently won an award at the Interior Innovation Award 2015. The renowned jury was won over by a table that is actually impossible.
YORK deliberately questions the way we look at things and is an exciting reinterpretation of the topic of dining and conference tables.
Boasting an elegant, balanced look and at the same time an unsettling structure, this table sculpture is a pleasure for diners. Perfectly balanced, with a subtle construction and elaborate craftsmanship. Trestles with the lightness of dance support the table top in an extremely elegant manner – as if on hands. York is reminiscent of a tug-of-war, and there is a palpable sense of dynamism in this model.
In the standard version YORK is built in solid oak, walnut, and cherry. There is a choice of various table top shapes and finishes, down to an innovative, “raw wood effect” which was developed in-house.
