Oregon-based Phloem Studio have designed the Harbor chair that remains as lean as possible, almost primitive in form.
The legs are turned on a lathe and the stretchers are connected with floating tenons. The backrest is a simple, but comfortable tube shaped by a router, rasps, and sanding. The designers used a modern rope similar to lines on sailing ships that will barely stretch over years of use.
