During Milan Design Week De Padova presents Albereta, a new armchair designed by Philippe Nigro.
At first glance it looks like an armchair with a classic form, rather similar to those used in smoking rooms or exclusive clubs. With its compact proportions, one gradually realizes that it is not so classic after all.
“In effect, it has oversized ears,” says Philippe Nigro. And it is this exaggeration, together with the relationship of proportion with the east, that adds character and conveys an idea of enveloping comfort. Its discreet, intimate form seems to lend itself to creating private zones, or to other uses stimulated by its compact size, simplicity and capacity to fit into the widest range of contexts.
