The chair Market by Noé Duchaufour Lawrance for Petite Friture is composed of two elements; a simple structure, in a minimised style with clean lines and a ‘covering’ in wood.
This covering was inspired by the latticed form of market stalls, in which the curves and proportions come together to soften the ensemble. The wooden covering has the advantage of being detachable from the chair allowing users to easily stack them. The combining of the two elements, the structure and the cover, is achieved by a set of wedges and notches ensuring that the cover is kept firmly in place. The link between the lattices and the cover is itself comprised of composite cork which guarantees comfort, flexibility and durability over time.
