Barril by Johannes Fuchs

Barril is a minimalist daybed created by Germany-based designer Johannes Fuchs. The elegant daybed Barril is a variation of the archetypical plank bed. The solid ash construction is transparent and clear: a flat mattress is resting on nine planks which are supported by four criss-crossing boards. The outer edges of the solid wood elements are somewhat rounded, lending a soft touch to the design. The comfortable mattress is covered by a high-quality wool fabric by Kvadrat and fixed to the frame by means of small textile loops. Barril is the perfect place for a quick midday nap or an overnight guest.
