Designer Alex Haggar started working on GRO with the idea to develop a system of standardized parts that allows for the creation of a multitude of furniture pieces.
Such a system would promote longevity, as furniture pieces can be reconfigured to meet changing needs.
After studying the target marketing, the existing systems and connections, he developed a collection inspired by a modern, clean aesthetic, and the way that unique parts interact with each other.
Made of birch plywood, aluminum, cork and 3D printed stainless steel, GRO seeks to provide adaptable furniture to individuals with ever-changing environments, lifestyles, and needs. By utilizing only 12 unique parts with no tools required for configuration, GRO is a flexible and intuitive furniture system.
