A “ground up” reconsideration of the Windsor style rocker, the Rook chair is a small yet striking piece of furniture. With thin rockers, careful angles, and an open spindle back, Rook by Michael Regan walks the line between daunting and inviting. The ten round-tenoned back spindles are woven together with a continuous strand of black Danish paper-cord. This weaving combines the strength of each spindle, providing visual and functional structure. The dark cord is in contrast to the rest of the form of a lightly finished white maple construction.
