Degree by Cecilie Manz

Degree by Cecilie Manz is a classic aesthetics and subtly graphic details which creates a comfortably modern look.
Degree Painted comes in a matte, light gray color and consists of painted MDF in color code RAL7044 with gloss 20. Panels are painted consistently around the front, back, edges and handles, so you achieve a completely uniform finish around all surfaces.

Fronts in veneered Oregon Pine is finished off with a matte lacquer, a protective treatment which makes the surface easier to clean and and more wear resistant. We use real Oregon Pine which will patina over time changing the color of the wood into a more warm reddish-brown color.

The Degree handle consist of solid wood in Oregon pine. It is milled into the corner of the front forming a triangle. Grains are placed in a 45 degree angle and grains will in most cases follow the same direction as grains on the front. However, some handle placements may differ from this.

The handle is centered on tall cabinet fronts, such as Pax fronts or pantry cabinets . You will have a visible division line on the front, creating a split where the handle is placed which means that the handle will be mirrored symmetrically.

Cover panels and inserts are produced in the same finish as the fronts, either painted light gray, painted white or veneered Oregon Pine. Plinths will be in painted light gray or white for the front finishes.

The designer, Cecilie Manz, recommends four different countertops for her Degree design. The first is a 13/64 ” solid stainless steel countertop in a floating look. The floating look is made possible from a shadowed panel placed approximately 25/32 ” from the countertop edge underneath the surface. The panel is produced on a 15/64 ” black MDF and will not be visible when the countertop is mounted. The complete thickness of the countertop incl. the panel is 7/16 “.
