Trilit Stool by Karl-Johan Hjerling for Snickeriet

Trilit, designed by Karl-Johan Hjerling for Snickeriet, is a vivacious exaggeration of a simple wood joint, naively distorting a rational solution into a complex craft. The bulging contours make the piece seem upholstered or inflated and give a playful impression that encourages interaction. Such semblance however, is put in contrast to its rigidity and weight. Trilit is intended to be used as an occasional stool and is made out of carefully selected solid Douglas fir wood.
