Tasso by a french designer Mathieu Delacroix is a collection of accessories revisiting woodworking on the lathe. It is composed of vases and empty-pockets. Their singularity is to be made of cleats of partially formed solid wood. We then obtain objects in two parts: one is drawn, turned and finely carved the other is left blank as an archaic base of the object. Roughing pretense, these are objects all in shape contrast translating the possibilities of the wood material. Tasso is so an interpretation of two states: raw and delicate, rustic and refined.
Tasso collection also won the First Prize of the Cinna Young Talent Contest in 2018. Now, Tasso vases are produced by Ligne Roset and Cinna company and have been launched during IMM Cologne (Germany) and Maison&Objet (France) design Fairs 2019.
