The Reverb, designed by Alessandro Zambelli for Zava, is a collection of desk lamps inspired by the carbide lanterns of olden times.
In times past, in an autumn dawn, winter peeped from a distance at five friends, who were silently scaling the precipitous slopes of Mount Borgà. “The early morning light inched its way along the village rooftops. The frost glistened like icing sugar on the cobbles of the steep and winding streets. The men used carbide lamps to light the way ahead…” All the experience of life in the raw from Mauro Corona’s mountain tales is embodied in Reverb.
A keynote feature of the product line is a concave diffuser with circular screen, supported on a cylindrical base. Like a little illuminating dish, Reverb radiates its light outwards into space, bathing its surroundings in warm, luminous reflections. The all-metal collection is available in carmine red, pastel turquoise and grey beige colour options, and accommodates LED light sources.
