In 1998 dutch architect Jos Blom made a sketch of a solid block, carried by four light bulbs. The clear led bulb, with its minimal heat radiation, made it finally possible to finish this concept – almost twenty years later.
The contrast between the mass of the block and the fragility of the glass suggests something impossible, yet the full weight of Mono is carried by its own light source.
