1.5 is a minimalist table created by Copenhagen-based designer Omayra Maymó, part of Sisters, which is exhibition in Barcelona inaugurated by Sanna Völker. 1.5 is a project founded on the concepts of community, sisterhood and support network. Different pieces of the same nature combine and adapt themselves, giving each other stability and forming a greater, more complex structure as a whole, without the need for additional elements. The table is made of laser-cut aluminum sheets that work together in a system without welds, adhesives, rivets or screws. Its five parts are not fixed together, but instead they fit perfectly into each other, generating a global stability through their combination.
