The chair designs of Richard Woods and Sebastian Wrong, entitled the “logos of reality,” seem to pop out of an illustration with their jagged, colorful edge and crackling patterns.
Existing in comic-book palettes of muted slate, black, and white—as well as mismatched neons — these strange seats are crafted from traditional woodblock techniques before being drenched in excessive architectural paving and engravements. With the combination of Woods’ artistic vision and Wrong’s manufacturing knowledge, each chair seems to appear as though it is a projected hologram, materializing into the physical world with all of its illusory qualities intact.
