Bloomming presents their brand-new freestanding version of stunning Facet room divider.
Facet, is the ultimate space dividing system designed by Bas van Leeuwen and Mireille Meijs. Its unique feature is that you can play with light and shadow. Each diamond-shaped facet can rotate, which allows you to create beautiful patterns.
Bloomming believes that interior decorating pieces should be both beautiful and functional. This was also our philosophy for the creation of this freestanding room divider. It is a wonderful designer piece that does not only look stunning, it also creates spaces on an elegant way.
One of the great things about Facet is that it is not very thick, so you won’t lose the light and airy feeling of your open plan design. It also lets light through, so it preserves the precious natural light coming through the windows.
The thing that makes Facet a one-of-a-kind room divider is that you can adjust the amount of transparency that it provides. The entire screen consists of separate diamond-shaped parts. These individual parts can rotate, allowing you to play around with the pattern and amount of transparency to create a unique freestanding room divider for your space.
Modular
Facet is customizable and it looks beautiful in so many different settings. Because of its modular system Bloomming can assemble your room divider in any width and height combination.
Dimensions
The width of the divider starts at 68cm and can be made wider with extensions of 34cm. The height of the frame starts at 160cm and can be extended with 20cm at a time. The frame itself is made from high-quality triangular tubes with a thickness of just 7cm. Not only does this shape give the frame a chic look, it also makes the frame extremely sturdy and strong.
Base
The frame stands on a thin, flat base. This base is 0,3cm thick and 68cm long from front to back. The width of this base is 68cm or 102 cm. This depends on the size of your divider. The wider dividers have 2 bases. Bloomming also offer the possibiltiy to fasten the frame directly to the floor without the use of the base or to make our freestanding room divider Facet more mobile by choosing for a base with wheels attached to it.
Materials
Facet is designed to be a sustainable product. Bloomming only use high-quality materials that are strong and durable to ensure the longevity of everything they create. The smart clicking system not only makes it easy to assemble this freestanding room divider, it also makes taking it apart effortless. The whole screen can be taken apart, separating all the different materials that make up the room divider. In other words, it is possible to fully recycle Facet or to reuse specific parts of it. The diamond-shaped facets are injection molded PC/ABS products.
The framework that holds the facets consists of an aluminum tube & injection molded NYLON connection parts. These parts are also fire retardant (meets the UL94 standard), and UV resistant.
Mobile
If you want a to be able to move your room divider around with more ease, this is also possible. Bloomming can add 4 concealed wheels to the base of the frame. This gives you more flexibility and enables you to easily change the layout of your interior.
Installation
Facet can be placed anywhere in your space. Thanks to its smart design the installation is very easy and comes with a clear, step-by-step guide.
Colors
Facet is available in a beautiful range of sophisticated colors. The geometric shapes of the facets and the pattern they are placed in catches the light at different angles resulting in a splendid array of different shades of the color of the screen.
Patterns
Facet’s unique adjustable design presents the opportunity to change the way it looks in your space with the flip of a facet. The fact that you can customize your freestanding room divider makes it possible to create different patterns and to change the level of transparency. You can adjust it to suit your exact needs. The individual pieces that make up the screen, can be turned around. By doing this you can change the pattern slightly to get a unique effect. You can also adjust the amount that can be seen through the screen and you can let through more or less light.
Bloomming is founded by Bas van Leeuwen and Mireille Meijs. They met during their studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Since graduation, they have developed their own methodology. Meijs generally works on the concept, whilst Van Leeuwen is adept in taking it to the end result.
