NUIT Wardrobe by Guiliano Cappelletti for Riva 1920

The design of the NUIT wardrobe by Guiliano Cappelletti for Riva 1920 is a new, contemporary twist on the traditional type of trunk-container achieved by obtaining a perfect equilibrium between form and function.

NUIT is made up principally of two different volumes that are the distinguishing feature of the piece as a whole both from the aesthetic and the functional standpoint: their asymmetry and their unequal dimensions lend the piece dynamism and at the same time a diversification of the internal spaces providing the storage function.

By adding a reference to the traditional wooden trunk to the simplicity and the elegance of the forms, NUIT achieves a synthesis between design, a memory of the past and hand-crafted wood working.
