Melt Chair is a minimalist chair designed by Brooklyn-based studio Bower for The Future Perfect’s The Chair exhibit. The Melt Chair is made of Imperial Green marble and antique brass. Inspired by ancient Egyptian furniture, Bower wanted to create a chair that infused some of the culture’s magical qualities by exploiting the contrast between true properties of material versus perceived properties shaped by form.
