Mai Chair is a minimalist chair created by Lausanne-based designer Anthony Guex. After working seven years as a cabinetmaker he studied Interior Design at Geneva University of Art and Design, and Product Design at ÉCAL (École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne), where he graduated with a Master degree in 2015. Since that date, he started his own studio beside working as a teacher assistant at ÉCAL. Mai chair take its architectural language from the use of straight section of solid wood. The seat and the backrest are only milled on one side in order to give the comfort to the chair.
