Gumnut Stool by David Knott for Riva 1920

Gumnut Stool by David Knott for Riva 1920 made from a single block of aromatic cedar wood that represents the shape of the fruit of the Australian eucalyptus from which it takes its name. Comfort is assured thanks to a soft Utah leather cushion with the exposed stitching reminiscent of the interweaving of the bud petals. The products are made from completely natural wood, hand-finished without the addition of any treatment. Movements, cracks and changes in the appearance of the wood are intrinsic characteristics of these items and result from the natural settlement and diverse environmental conditions.
