Bo Light by MASSESS

Bo is the newest light offering by Los Angeles design studio MASSESS and represents the philosophy of logical, simple and deconstructed minimal – where the materials guide the design process. In contrast to 3d printing and computer aided design, Bo represents an analytical approach to design. An approach to rediscover the beauty that arises from a deep understanding of the limitations in materials and processes. Yielding products that encapsulate not only form, but also physical forces.

Reminiscent of an archers bow, solid oak is tensioned by bronze braided wire that cleverly doubles as the light controls. Touch to activate LEDs embedded into oak that beautifully diffuse light. The lamp is equal parts art sculpture and minimal lighting for the home – perfect as a standalone architectural statement or functional as a bedside light.
