As we learn to talk and write, the haptic knowledge becomes more of an unconscious knowledge that we utilize without knowing it. But if I were to ask you to lick the wooden floor on which you stand, you would know exactly how the texture would feel on your tongue, without actual physical contact. It is this \u201csilent\u201d knowledge that I\u2019m trying to evoke and provoke with the BLUSH Chair <cite>Sofie Brunner<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"attachment_5923\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 720px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sohomod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/blush-3.jpg\" alt=\"BLUSH Lounge Chair by Sofie Brunner\" width=\"720\" height=\"542\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5923\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sohomod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/blush-3.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.sohomod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/blush-3-300x226.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sohomod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/blush-3.jpg\">BLUSH Lounge Chair by Sofie Brunner<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n<p>The chair consists of a faceted hard aluminium shell in which a perforated pattern has been laser-cut. Using a brush binding technique, the holes are upholstered with strips of hand printed felt. This results in a slightly cruel-looking shell with a soft and tactile front upholstery and a pixel-like upholstered back.
