An offshoot of the table that goes by the same name, the Mylon chair\u2019s flowing lines convey a sharp sense of confidence. Inspired by the classic principles of chair manufacture, Jacob Strobel\u2019s Mylon equally embraces contemporary design \u2013 just the right mix to set it on its way to becoming a veritable classic.<\/p>\n

The harmonious shape of the Mylon is particularly evident in the pure solid wood version, which features a 32mm-thick seat that has been milled into the wood. The end-grained wood visible on the front and back of the chair emphasise the material\u2019s natural qualities. The chair provides truly one-of-a-kind seating comfort thanks to its ergonomically conscious design. The equally solid backrest, which rises seamlessly from the elevated rear legs, is yet another impressive testimony to this chair\u2019s craftsmanship. To achieve the perfect curve, the wood is allowed to rest for three to four weeks after being bent. Final manipulation is possible only after the material, which is about 40mm in width, has fully settled. The backrest perfectly embraces the sitter\u2019s back, working in conjunction with the rear legs to provide a solid armrest which is particularly nice when sitting down or getting up. The soft chamfer that runs from the base to the backrest, which is slanted forwards, is as comfortable as it is practical when it comes to moving the chair. Whether upholstered or pure wood, the Mylon chair perfectly complements any table and interior design.<\/p>\n
