The Nokori folding chair from Tanner Goods is as elegant as it is functional, an embodiment of “good design.”
Upon a sturdy frame of hand-rubbed mahogany wood hangs a beautiful and ergonomic hammoc-like seat and back support made from heavy natural tooling leather, a choice of materials that will make the piece improve with age. Drawn from design aesthetics that began to emerge in the mid-twentieth century, the chair’s form follows its function; each aspect is so well-considered that one may forget it was designed at all. Each hand-crafted and hand-finished piece can conveniently fold flat, although it’s hard to imagine ever wanting to take this off display.
